is a great place to see artifacts of firearms history throughout the ages. However, the National Firearms Museum also has a library that is open to the public and can be used for both serious and casual firearms research.

“We have a book on just about every topic related to firearms,” Assistant Curator Matt Sharpe told NRAblog. Volumes of books are maintained on gun models, manufacturers, serial numbers, ballistics, and just about every other topic pertaining to guns. In addition to the book collection, the library at the National Firearms Museum maintains an archive of every shooter magazine as well as newsletters for over 120 clubs and organizations. This unique library also sports a wall of Springfield 1903 bolt action rifles.

If you are interested in visiting the National Firearms Museum library, schedule your visit with Matt Sharpe by calling 703-267-1604.
